This specimen was found on the coast of South Carolina after Hurricane Ian in September of this year.  A large number of Forbes Sea Stars were washed onshore and were not alive when authorities allowed people back on the South Carolina beaches.  It is illegal to remove starfish, sand dollars, sea urchins and other live animals, or shells with live animals, from the beaches in South Carolina and other coastal states.  Starfish, or sea stars, can usually be found after major storms or when the water temperature drastically changes.
Perfect for collectors, crafters, home and beach decor, such as shell arrangements, wall art and ornaments.  Can be used as the North Star in crafts or on your tree.  Measures 5 1/4 "to 5/ 3/4".  A lovely specimen.  This item will be well packed for shipping.
